Harry S Truman Elementary School students, parents, teachers and staff participate in the global date of student prayer Sept. 24 at the flagpole. This annual gathering of Christian students is held on the fourth Wednesday of September. Led by a student, prayers were printed on papers for students to read for those who wished, such as, "Dear God, Thank you for the school you have blessed us with and all the teachers that come and teach us everyday. Please give us protection so no one gets badly injured and keep everyone healthy. Please give us protection so there is not a fire in the school. I pray no one gets in big touble and we are kind to one another. Help us to be better leaders and treat others the way we want to be treated."
