SALISBURY HIGH SCHOOL COLUMN
Congratulations to the students who made the cast list for Salisbury High School's production of "Alice(s) In Wonderland" The show will be performed at the high school Nov. 13 through 16.
Come out and support the varsity football team– 7 p.m. Oct. 3 is Salisbury High School's Family Fun Night. The team will play at home versus Northwestern Lehigh. At 7 p.m. Oct. 10, the boys will play away at Northern Lehigh.
The Salisbury cheerleaders will hold a clothing drive at SHS 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 5. They are collecting clothes, shoes, household items made of fabric and hard and soft toys. They are not accepting books, VCR tapes, CDs, kitchen appliances or furniture. All items donated must be in good condition and they ask all items be placed in tightly tied plastic bags. All items can be bagged together except for shoes. All types of footwear should be put in separate bags.
The Falcon Competition Cheerleaders will hold a car wash 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the SHS parking lot. Enjoy hot dogs and baked goods while your car is being washed.
The PSATs will be held at SHS 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15. All juniors will be tested at no cost. There is a fee for interested sophomores to take the test and spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. The annual Powder Puff game is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 15 in the SHS Stadium. All players, coaches and cheerleaders must submit a participant emergency information form and a small fee prior to the first practice Oct. 9. If no form or payment is turned in prior to the first practice the student will not be able to play.
German exchange students will be staying with select high school students Oct. 16 through Nov. 1 via the German American Partnership Program. They will attend SHS with the students while they are in the area. The German Club is holding a basket raffle to fundraise for the exchange. Tickets will be sold at the Family Fun Night football game Oct. 3, boys soccer senior night Oct. 6, the varsity girls and boys soccer games versus Southern Lehigh Oct. 8 and at the Homecoming football game Oct. 17. Winners will be drawn at the Homecoming game.
Attention all students eligible for National Honor Society. To complete your requirements to NHS you are to submit your one to two page essay to Paul Koba by Oct. 17. Details will have been included in the email sent to those eligible students.
Any male student who would like to participate in his grade level's "man dance" at the Homecoming pep rally Oct. 17 should notify his class advisory.
The Homecoming varsity football game will be 7 p.m. Oct. 17 versus Catasauqua High School. There will be tailgating 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. in the SHS student parking lot prior to the game.
The Homecoming dance will be 7 p.m. Oct. 18 in the old high school gym. Ticket sale dates and costs will be announced.
