State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Nathanael Dean Schmidt, 23, of Attalla, Ala., was observed allegedly committing a summary traffic offense 1:06 a.m. Sept. 15 at Route 100 and Penn Drive, Upper Macungie Township.

Police say a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle on Kressler Lane at Route 100.

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly produced two plastic bags containing marijuana, one multi-colored glass smoking pipe and metal grinder with marijuana residue, and one marijuana cigarette and numerous items of paraphernalia.

Police say Schmidt was transported to Lehigh County Prison for arraigment on drug charges.
