L. Duane Soper, 69, died Sept. 18, 2014, at his home in Kempton.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia L.( Dwiggins) Soper in 2010.
Born in LeRaysville, Bradford County, he was a son of the late Herbert and Ethel (Dull) Soper.
The N.E. service representative and service manual writer for the former Sperry New Holland Co. for 36 years, he retired in 2002.
He later worked for the former Charles S. Snyder Inc., Tamaqua, for five years.
He served his country faithfully and honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
A member of Salem United Methodist Church, Shoemakersville, he also was a member of the Lynnport Fire Company.
His survivors include a son Russell D."Rusty" and his wife, Christina, of Kempton; daughter Rebecca S. Prevosnik of Kutztown; brothers Joseph, of New York and Robert of Rome, Bradford County, and loving grandchildren Jacob and Justin Soper and Nolan and Mary Prevosnik.
