Police arrested a 28-year-old city woman after witnessing her driving erratically on Garfield Street around 3:40 a.m. Sept. 14.

Police said they observed Tanya Scarpiello of Bridge Street commit several moving violations. While speaking with her, they determined she was intoxicated and charged her with DUI and speeding.

A search of Scarpiello's vehicle revealed numerous empty heroin packets, used needles and a crack pipe. She is also charged with Possession of paraphernalia.
