Bentley University freshman Taylor Kane (Liberty) scored her first career field hockey goal early in the first half in a 3-1 loss back on Friday, Sept. 5, at Vonnie Gros Stadium.

Kane, who returned to her home state for her collegiate debut, staked the Falcons to a 1-0 lead a little more than 12 minutes into the contest. She lifted it from just inside the top of the circle with the ball just getting in underneath the crossbar.

Senior All-Conference forward Gina Lirange had three goals as Bentley topped American, 5-2.

Lirange completed her hat trick with 6:56 left, sending the ball into the net from just inside the left end line, off an assist from freshman Taylor Kane (Liberty).
