William Francis Brossman Sr.

William "Bill" Francis Brossman Sr., 89, of Brei nigsville, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Sept. 8, 2014, at home.

He and his wife M. Lucille (Frey) Brossman were married 65 years, celebrating their milestone anniversary in June.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Dr. Martin W. and S. Eleanor (Ruth) Brossman.

An aeronautical engineer at Westinghouse Electric, Kansas City, Mo., and Lycoming Textron, Stratford, Conn., he retired in 1986.

A 1951 graduate of Parks College of St. Louis University, he was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Europe.

A member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, he was a lifelong tennis player and teacher, and model train enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son William Francis Jr. and his wife, Euna, of Plainsboro, N.J.; son Scott Frey Brossman and his wife, Lisa, of Seymour Conn.; daughter Barbara Lucille Armeno of Cheshire, Conn.; grandchildren Jennifer Armeno Duca, Kimberly Armeno and Katherine, Molly, William Francis III and Scott Brossman Jr.

He was predeceased by his brother, Martin, of Washington, D.C., and sister, Ruth W. Dent, of Schnecksville.
