A United Way-sponsored free, open to the public training for the L.V. Gatekeepers Program for identifying at-risk seniors will be held at both 2 and 3 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Bethlehem Area Public Library, 11 W. Church St.

Gatekeepers are non-traditional referral sources who come into contact with seniors and are trained to recognize warning signs and red flags that indicate a need for help or support.

Upon course completion, attendees will be given a Gatekeeper ID number and be qualified to make referrals to the Agency on Aging. For reservations for one of the programs and for information, email aangelo@allentowndiocese.org.
