The Coplay Garden Club meeting Sept. 25 will feature a floral design workshop on the fall floral container.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church social hall. Any interested persons are invited to attend.

Signs in frontyards across the borough indicate this year's nominees for the annual Properties of Merit honors. A reception for the award winners and all nominees will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Samuel Owens Restaurant, Second and Chestnut streets.

Ironton Rail-Trail Commission said its annual IRT Historical Walk on the trail in the borough and Whitehall will be held Saturday, Oct. 4.

It will not be impeded by construction of the Hokendauqua-North Catasauqua Bridge.

With fall in the air, the Friday night dances at the Coplay Saengerbund Pavilion are drawing to a close for the season.

New Constitution takes the stage Friday, followed by Social Call Sept. 26. The club is recognized in the borough for its civic endeavors and involvement.
