Boys soccer team wins
Catty's boys soccer team got a 1-0 lead at half over Northern Lehigh and then held on to win 2-1 on Tuesday.
Nick Rossnagle scored a goal for the Roughs, assisted by Steve Leon. Hermann Diamacoune scored Catty's second goal which was unassisted.
The Bulldogs outshot Catty 12-9 in the game. Gunnar Pattison made 11 saves.
The boys beat Tamaqua 6-0 in a recent game.
Both Steve Leon and Majed Salama had two goals each. Nick Rossnagle and Johnny Dweck added one each.
Recording assists in the win were: Joe Harakal, Dionis Lora, Jake Rossnagle, Dave Wetherhold and Jason Hoch.
Catty keeper Gunnar Pattison recorded his second shutout of the season with three saves.
Moravian Academy won a 6-0 game over Catty.
Jack McCambridge got his team on the board with the game's only first half goal, but Moravian pulled away in the second half. McCambridge had two goals in the game, both on penalty kicks.
Ryan Peslis, Jack Painter, Nic Lozano and Jeff Brown added goals in the win as Moravian outshot Catty 12-1.
The boys defeated Palmerton 2-0.
Nick Rossnagle got on the board first on an assist from Dave Wetherhold. Majed Salama scored Catty's second goal on a pass from Stone Vassa.
Gunnar Pattison got the shutout in net with five saves.

In a Tuesday afternoon game, Catty's field hockey team fell to Bangor 4-1.
The Slaters scored all of their goals in the first half.
Bangor goals came from Emme Lentine assisted by Julia Kiss and Marielena Kotretsos assisted by Cheyenne Ott). Kotretsos would add her second of the game assisted by Abbi Chesney and then Chesney scored the fourth goal on a pass from Mikayla Mulea.
Catty's goal came from Quinn Bachman, assisted by Morgan Meckes.
The Catty field hockey team fell to Southern Lehigh 6-1.
The Spartans jumped out to a 5-0 first half lead.
Scoring for Southern Lehigh were: Kylie Schmitt with two, Paige Gehman, Madison Reese with two and Lizzie Clemmer.
Quinn Bachman scored Catty's only goal on a penalty stroke.
Spartan keeper Jenna Cyr made three saves while Catty's Tiffany Murawski stopped nine.
The girls knocked off Salisbury last week 3-1.
Catty jumped out a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to two unassisted goals by Quinn Bachman.
Bachman would give Catty a 3-0 lead on an assist by Kenzie Bradley.
Lindsay Bauer scored Salisbury's only goal.
Tiffany Murawski saved seven in the win.
