Lawrence T. Dries, 63, died Sept. 8, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Health Network-Cedar Crest. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Elizabeth (Hodges) Master and the late Elmer D. Dries. He was the husband of the late Cynthia A. (Beitler) Dries.

He served in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War.

He retired from Lower Macungie Township as a public works employee from 2004-2013. He was previously employed as a mechanic at Becker Subaru and was a mason with his father's business, E.D. Dries & Son.

He was a member of the Macungie VFW, Teamsters Local 773 and a volunteer fireman at the Wescosville Fire Department.

In addition to his mother; he is survived by three siblings, Wayne F. and his wife Kathy, of Emmaus, Eileen M. and her husband David Maynard, of Reading and Doreen L. and her husband Raymond Legg, of Allentown.

There will be a calling hour 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a service 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 in the funeral home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
