Christopher Kerkusz, 39, of Emmaus, died Sept. 9, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Buniak) Kerkusz. They were married for 10 years last May. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Jerry and Michelle (Heckenberger) Kerkusz.
He was a civil engineer at Martin H. Schuler Company, Allentown. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1992, then earned an engineering degree from Lehigh University.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Allentown and coached T-ball, basketball and flag football.
He loved the Denver Broncos.
He is survived by his wife; children, Ethan and Samantha at home and an expectant baby; paternal grandmother Maria Kerkusz. He was predeceased by a brother Michael and cousins Terry and Mark; grandparents, Michael B. Kerkusz, Joan Young Heckenberger and John Heckenberger Sr., along with his parents.
