Robert J. Sickonic, 76, of Whitehall, died Aug, 20, 2014, in his home. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Helen R. (Farkas) Siekonic. He was the husband of Jean B. (Santee) Sickonic for 45 years.
He was a master sergeant and a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran. He was in Vietnam.
He was an electrical technician for LaFarge Cement, Cementon, for 24 years until retiring in 2000.
He was a member of Calvary Weslyan Church, Bethlehem, where he was a trustee and was on the building committee.
He was a member and a past commander of V.F.W. Post #4714, Northampton. He was a member of Triboro Sportsman Association, Northampton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Spear of Washington; three sons, Daniel and his wife Caroline of Palmerton, John "Jack" and his wife Denise of Northampton , and James and his fiancee Mariann Saas of Allentown; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Patricia Guttman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Priscilla and her husband Ronald Koch of Allen Township; two brothers, Richard and his wife Linda, and Joseph and his wife Debra, all of Northampton; nieces; and nephews.
