Coplay enjoys a reputation as a town where much happens because of involvement by volunteers and community organizations. Two local organizations recently sent out requests for community support to borough residents.
Residents have heard from the Coplay Fire Department, which sent out fliers requesting donations to cover some of the cost of keeping the community safe and responding to emergencies.
Also seeking financial support is the Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association, which provides the use of equipment for convalescent residents, supports a food bank and hosts the annual Halloween parade. Its notices were sent out on Saturday notices.
