Robert J. McKeon

Robert J. McKeon, 72, of Emma-us, died peacefully in the company of his family on Sept. 7, 2014. He was the husband of Louise (Mucksavage) McKeon. They were married for 47 years. Born in Sugar Notch, he was the son of the late Patrick and Rita (Conway) McKeon.

After graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School, he served his country in the United States Navy, and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering science and a master's degree in nuclear engineering from Penn State. He worked as a nuclear engineer for PPL for 32 years, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of the Church of St. Ann, Emmaus and served as a lector for many years.

He was a passionate Penn State, Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed playing cards at South Bethany Beach, attending CelticFest and Musikfest, telling silly jokes, reading and watching cowboy movies, but at all times his top priority in life was spending time with and caring for his family.

He is survived by his wife; son, Kevin J. and his wife Tiffany, and grandchildren Reagan, Josephine, Scarlett and Robert Callaghan; daughter, Kelly Ann and her husband Nicholas Sisonick, and grandchildren Marah, Peyton and Harper Sisonick; daughter, Meredith and her husband Jeff Henry, and grandchildren James, Bryn and Eve Henry; daughter Erin and grandson Silas RobertJohn Wolford; sister Nan; brother James. He was predeceased by brothers, Patrick, John and Thomas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at Church of St. Ann, 415 South 6th St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
