Nancy Gertrude (Luquer) Wallich of Macungie, died Sept. 1, 2014, at Geisenger Medical Center, Scranton, after sustaining injuries from an accident at the family home in Damascus, Pa., Aug. 29. She was the wife of the late Lawrence "Larry" Wallich, who died in 2002. She was born in Spring Gardens, Queen, N.Y.

While growing up she was an instructor in boating, lifesaving, swimming and camping at Camp Ma-He Tu at Bear Mountain, N.Y.

She pursued a nursing degree at Wagner College on Staten Island, N.Y., where she met her husband. She was the school nurse at Union Elementary in Perryville, N.J., until retirement in 1998.

She and her husband retired to the Damascus property "The Woods," where they enjoyed golfing, canoeing, bowling, hunting and fishing. Both were avid outdoors people and proud members of the NRA.

She is survived by three children, Chris, Beth and Barb; son-in-law, Kevin; three grandchildren, Jack, Michael and Ava.
