Jean F. Bortz, 82, of Lower Macungie Township, died Sept. 3, 2014, at Manor Care, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Oswald.

After graduating from Parkland High School and completing courses at Allentown Business School, she worked in the office of the Coplay Cement Co.

She was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown.

She is survived by Lois Fox, of Fountain Hill, to whom she was like a sister, Diane Gee, of Lower Macungie Township, whom she considered like a daughter, and many cousins.

Arrangements were made by the Trexler Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
