Edward H. Aber, 92, of Emmaus, died Sept. 5, 2014, in Fellowship Manor. He was the husband of the late Helen L. (Lacki) Aber. Born in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of the late James Puller and Alice (Vander Sluis) Aber.
He worked for the former Western Electric, Allentown, Kearny and Clifton, N.J. for 38 years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.
He volunteered for many years with Lehigh Valley Hospital and Camelot for Children and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He loved woodworking and gardening, was an avid reader, and enjoyed political discourse, international relations and his knowledge of new topics of interest.
He honorably served his country in the Army as a Staff Sgt. during World War II.
He is survived by a son, Robert E. and his wife Maribel, of Marco Island, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer and Blake; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 11 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
