David Wick Capron, 81, of Macungie, died Aug. 27, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Shirley Cook who died in 1985. Born in New Jersey, he was a son of the late Warren and Helen (Wick) Capron.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran PR. 2nd Class, serving 1951-1959.

He was a CPA.

An avid lover of cribbage, he was founder and president of The Macungie Area Cribbage Klub.

He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Betty J. Mai; daughter, Susan and her companion, Russell Ramich; son, Bruce; stepchildren, Hiram Cook, Heidi Perrett; grandchildren, Amber, Chris and Natasha. He was predeceased by a son, David; stepson, Frank Cook, brother; Richard and sister, Phyllis.
