William W. Heacock, 88, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 22, 2014, in Luther Crest Healthcare Center. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Earl and Grace (Wellert) Heacock. He was the husband of the late Marion (Schmidt) Heacock for 57 years.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a field engineer at Burroughs Inc. for many years before retiring.

He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and of the Miniature Society.

He is survived by a daughter, Sharon and her husband John Wear of New Tripoli; a son, Wayne of Belvidere, Ill.; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
