Melitta Zacher, 86, of Bethlehem, formerly of North Arlington, N.J., died Aug. 28, 2014, in Kirkland Village Health Center, Bethlehem.
She and her husband Josef Zacher were married 57 years last July 27.
Born July 5, 1928, in Wertheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Hilda (Bruchman) Kamuf.
She owned and operated the former Melitta's Coffee Shop, Kearny, N.J. for 20 years before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Rileyville, Wayne County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Dr. Joseph A. and his wife, Laura, of Allentown; RoseMary Zacher, Monica Morelli and her husband, Mark, Sonia Zacher-Martini and her husband, Scott, all of New Jersey; and grandchildren Nicole, Joseph and Mary Catherine.
She was predeceased by an infant son, Stefan.
Her service will be private. There will be no calling hours.
