Melitta (Kamuf) Zacher, 86, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 28, 2014, at Kirkland Village Health Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Josef Zacher for 57 years. Born in Wertheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Stefan and Hilda (Bruchman) Kamuf.
She owned and operated the former Melitta's Coffee Shop in Kearny, N.J., for 20 years before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Rileyville, Wayne County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Dr. Joseph A. and his wife Laura of Allentown, RoseMary, Monica and her husband Mark and Sonia Zacher-Martini and her husband Scott, all of New Jersey; and three grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph and Mary Catherine.
She predeceased by an infant son, Stefan Zacher.
