· Stations 36 and 37 responded to a reported large tree on fire on Fairmont Street near Kay Drive, 3:43 a.m.

· Station 39 assisted at the flag burning ceremony at the Egypt VFW, 6:59 p.m.

AUGUST 28

· Stations 36 and 37 responded to a fire alarm at Home Depot, 1350 MacArthur Road, found to be a broken sprinkler head, 1:39 p.m.

· A fire alarm at 3 Maryland Circle, found to be a pull station pulled on the third floor by persons unknown, brought out Stations 35, 36, 37 and 38, 6:24 p.m.

· A reported propane tank leaking at 823 Fifth St. brought out Stations 36 and 37, 7:28 p.m.

AUGUST 29

· Stations 39 and 40 responded to a reported smell of propane gas in the area of Wild Cherry Market, 4117 Main St., 10:44 a.m.

· Stations 35, 36, 37, 38 and 62 responded to reported smoke in the basement at 2117 S. First Ave., found to be a faulty furnace with moderate carbon monoxide readings, 5:13 p.m.

AUGUST 30

· A fire alarm at the Fullerton Village Apartments, 1029 Sixth St., Apt. 104, found to be food burning in the microwave oven and heavy smoke in the apartment, brought out Stations 35, 36, 37 and 38, 11:09 a.m.
