Carolyn L. Steele, 80, of Allentown, formerly of Neffs, died Aug. 27, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Roger W. Steele were married 60 years last April 3.

Born Aug. 7, 1934, in Heidelberg Township, she was the daughter of the late Alvin N. and Mary E. (Weaver) Krause.

She was an office manager and bookkeeper for several businesses in the Lehigh Valley before retiring.

She was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, and a member of the Slatington High School, Class of 1952 Reunion Committee.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son, William R. and his wife, Silas, of Fleetwood; daughters Marianne L. Bear of Allentown, Karen L. Schultz and her husband, Kevin, of Zionsville; sister Janice M. Kiefer and her husband, William, of Allentown; and grandchildren Julia, Michael, Kasey, Lauren and Matthew.
