Sandra J. Smolick, 73, of Wescosville, died peacefully Aug. 29, 2014, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John J. Smolick who died Nov. 1, 2001. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Verna D. (Kurtz) Navarre, Sr.

She worked at People First Federal Credit Union as a bank supervisor and later as a compliance officer.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Social Club, Allentown.

She is survived by a son, Randall Shurin and his wife Linda, of Allentown; daughters, Cheryl Lederer and her significant other, Scott Beck, of Slatington, Kimberly and her husband Daniel, of Topton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Douglas Navarre, Jr. and his wife Jane, of Northampton, Barry Navarre and his wife Elaine, of New Tripoli. She was predeceased by two children, baby boy Shurin and Donna Marie and a great-granddaughter, Avery.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 6 in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 and 10 to 11 a.m Sept. 6.
