Theodore H. "Ted" Reitz, 92, of Wescosville, died Aug.25, 2014,in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He was the husband of the late Rose (Balint) Reitz.
Born Nov. 8, 1921, in Ironton, he was the son of the late Chester and Mamie (Wotring) Reitz.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed in the vacuum maintenance department of the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 33 years before retiring in 1981.
He will be forever remembered for the care and patience he exhibited to his wife in her final years of life.
His life serves as a wonderful example to all who knew him.
His survivors include a son Jim T. of Salisbury Township; daughter Marianne K. Fegely and her husband, Mark, of Macungie; brother Robert of Northampton; grandsons Scott S. Quier and his wife, Misty, and Kevin B. Quier and his wife, Christine; great-granddaughters Delia E., Alexis R. and Olivia K. Quier; and caregiver Katherine.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Aug. 29, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Richard A. Fogal officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
