Sandra D. Roberts, 39, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 13, 2014, in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, N.Y. after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

She and her husband Randy Roberts were married 17 years last September.

She was a licensed insurance agent for the John Yurconic Agency, Allentown, for several years before becoming ill.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Millard "Dixie" and Barbara L. (Serfass) Howell of Palmerton.

A 1993 graduate of Northern Lehigh High School, she was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is survived by daughters Michaela D. and Alexandra S., both at home; brother Randy L. and his wife, Joyce, of Slatington; three nieces and two nephews.
