Richard J. Lehman, Corvair Club co-founder

Richard J. Lehman, 85, of Bethlehem, died August 15, 2014.Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Howard and Eva (Swavely) Lehman. He was the husband of Virginia (Grello) Lehman.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 38 years before retiring.

He was a member and one of the original founders of the Lehigh Valley Corvair Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kathleen and her husband Greg Blanar of Marietta, Ga., and Cindy and husband Tom Lehman of Myerstown; a son, Keith and his wife Karin of Coopersburg; a sister, Joyce Schmick of Emmaus; a sister-in-law, Leanna Lehman of Emmaus; and three grandchildren, Brian Blanar and Kyle and Kirstin Lehman.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Revere, Howard and Edward.

Services will be private.
