The Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company Country Garden will be holding an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet Friday, Sept. 5, from 4-8 p.m.

The dinner will include soup, salad bar, rolls, side dishes, entrées and desserts.

Proceeds benefit the fire company.

Plan to attend the next meeting of the Indianland Garden Club Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville. Doors open 6 p.m.

The speaker will be Joe Veshinfsky, a master gardener.

The program is titled "Dahlias for a Colorful Summer and Fall."

The tournament for September will include Specimens – Zinnia, dahlia, chrysanthemum, cockscomb, cleome, gladiola, aster, impatiens, sedum, canna, phlox, herb, shrub, vine and garden vegetables; Houseplants – your choice; Arrangements - School Days, a triangle design; Johnny Appleseed, using an apple as a container or accessory; and Labor Day, an arrangement using a labor-related item.

The club project of vegetable seed from the April meeting is due.

At this meeting, the nominating committee will present the slate of officers for 2015.

The garden club is a growing club. You are welcome to join.

The Lehigh Township Historical Centre will host an open house Sundays, Sept. 14 and 21, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Stop in and view the memorabilia there.

Keep the society in mind when purchasing your mums this fall!

Their annual mum sale will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28, from 1-4 p.m. or until sold out.

The society is also selling Redner's hoagie coupons.

These coupons can be redeemed at your convenience and good to have on hand.
