Garry D. Eck, 58, of North Whitehall Township, died Aug. 24, 2014, in his home.
He and his wife Nancy J. (Brader) Eck were married 35 years last Oct. 14.
Born in Fort Bragg, N.C., he was the son of Janet F. (Conrad) Eck of Coplay and the late Forrest F. Eck.
He was employed at Brader's Woodcraft Inc., Laurys Station, since 1987.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laurys Station.
A former coach for the Laurys Athletic Association, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as watching baseball.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived be a daughter Candice R. at home; son Robert E. and his wife, Casey, of Nazareth; sisters Julia Gogle and her husband, Roger, of North Whitehall Township, Roxanne Grube and her husband, David, of Schnecksville, Sandra Ball and her husband, Kenneth, of Fairfax, Va.; and grandson Connor.
He was predeceased by a sister, Michelle Eck.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Aug. 28, at St. John's UCC, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, with the Rev. Lori A. Esslinger officiating.
Visitation period 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday in the church narthex.
There will be private interment.
