Walter A. Weniger, Jr., 68, of Reading, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 24, 2014, in Philadelphia. Raised in Sommers Point, N.J., he was the son of Walt and Ann Weniger.

He was a retired member of the Pennsylvania State Police.

He is survived by a daughter, Wendy and her husband Rick Fellinger; grandson, Casey; son, Michael and his wife Emily; brother, Rick.

Services will be held Aug. 30 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 Hamilton St., Allentown. Calling hours will be noon to 1:30 p.m. with a memorial service 1:30 p.m.
