Christopher D. Ochs of Emmaus signs copies of his novel, "Pindlebryth of Lenland: The Five Artifacts," 1 - 3 p.m. Aug. 31 as part of "Local Author Sundays," Moravian Book Shop, 428 Main St., Bethlehem.
In Ochs' debut novel, Pindlebryth, Prince of Lenland, awakens to discover the people of his nation have been enslaved by a forgotten enemy. He soon learns it is the first part of a larger plot by an unknown nemesis to use mystical artifacts to remake the entire world in their own image.
Pindlebryth and Lenland's untried sorceress, Darothien, struggle against betrayal, international intrigue and an unseen puppet-master as they race to follow a bewildering trail of ancient clues to locate the most powerful artifact.
The 592-page book, published in June, is available in paperback and Kindle versions. Nook and audio book releases are to be scheduled. Ochs plans "Pindlebryth of Lenland: The Five Artifacts" as the first installment of a fantasy series.
Ochs is a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group, Lehigh Valley Storytelling Guild, and has written public service announcements and comedy sketches for area radio stations.
