Cub Scout signups start with the beginning of the school year. Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts meet in Eastern Salisbury at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury weekly. Salisbury Middle School Twirlers are hosting a basket bingo event 1 p.m. Nov. 9. The twirlers' fundraiser will be held at SMS and doors open noon.

Salisbury Township Schools will be closed in observation of Labor Day Aug. 29 and Sept. 1. Township offices will also be closed Sept 1.

Salisbury High School's dual enrollment meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept 11. SHS's open house is planned for 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 11 as well.

There will be a Salisbury Township School District operations committee meeting 7 p.m., Sept. 8 at the administration building. The curriculum committee meeting scheduled for Sept 15 has been cancelled.

There will not be a zoning hearing board meeting Sept. 2 due to the absence of zoning appeals.

Upcoming yard waste drop-off dates for Franco Farm will be Sept 2 and 6. Franco Farm hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Salisbury Township provides its own online learning experience through VAST otherwise referred to as Virtual Academy of Salisbury Township. Students have full library access, field trips and competitive activities and are eligible for a Salisbury High School diploma.
