Gloria M. Nagle
Gloria M. Nagle, 81, of New Tripoli, died Aug. 13, 2014, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
She and her husband Robert A. Nagle were married 60 years last December.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Verna Yeager.
A graduate of Allentown High School and the former Lehigh County Community College, now Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, she was named to the Alumni Hall of Fame at the college.
Employed at Western Electric, she became a licensed practical nurse and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital.
She volunteered on a medical trip to Mexico with First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem.
A founding member of the Auxiliary of the former Lehigh Manor, now Westminster Village, she was a life member of Phoebe Home Auxiliary, where she served as hospitality chairman and secretary, as well as a volunteer.
She was a life member of the Lynn Heidelberg Historical Society and the Lynn Township Recreation Advisory Board.
As a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, she was the pianist for the Women's Group, as well as past president, a member of the pre-school board, the Evangelism Committee, the quilting group, and Lay Committee for Student Pastors.
She was a member of the Parkland Garden Club, serving as corresponding, recording and assistant secretary.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons; Keith A. and wife, Tina Marie, and Scott A. and wife, Sheila, all of New Tripoli, and Mark A. and wife, Michele, of Newark, Del.; grandchildren Christine, Samantha, Brad, Trisha, Ryan and Erik; brothers Wilbur Jr. and Robert.
She was predeceased by a son, Wayne A., brother, Tilghman, and sisters, Jean Parks and Lois Ewing.
