James Russell Keim, 75, of Emmaus, died Aug. 11, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Lorraine J. (Weil) Schaffer Keim who died July 30, 1991. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Russell Keim and the late Clara (Donart) Lynch.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus and was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a millwright at Bethlehem Steel for many years until retiring.
He was a true outdoorsman and was a member of several sportsman clubs.
He is survived by a daughter, Jaynee and her husband John Halpin; stepchildren, Larry R. Schaffer and his wife Dolores, David E. Schaffer and his wife Marion "Betsy," and Robert L. Schaffer; step-grandchildren, Lori DaSilva, Russell Schaffer and Larry J. Schaffer; three stepgreat-grandchildren; companion, Deborah Tuttle. He was predeceased by a son, Russell James who died Dec. 1, 1961.
