Ernest P. Dries, 82, of Emmaus, died Aug. 17, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. He was the husband of the late Shirley J. (Moyer) Dries who died Jan. 8, 2014. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul and Irene (Brensinger) Dries.

He was a salesman for Charles Chips in the Lehigh Valley for 40 years, retiring in 2006.

He is survived by a son, Ernest P., Jr. and his wife Sherry, of Boyertown; daughter, LaurieAnn and her husband Donald Schantz, of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Brian and his wife Michelle, Kevin and Lee Young; four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Aug. 21 in the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
