The Great Allentown Fair, Aug. 26 - Sept. 1, celebrates its 162nd year offering a fun and educational experience for visitors of all ages.
The Fair, dedicated to supporting the achievements of farmers, gardeners and homemakers, enables children to learn where their food comes from while spending an exciting day riding rides, playing games and seeing shows.
The young and young at heart will find tantalizing international cuisine, music concerts, thrill shows, and the latest in gizmos and gadgets.
"With young country star Hunter Hayes on Saturday, Fresh Beat Band on Sunday, Demo Derby on Monday, plus all the rides, games, food, farm exhibits and novelty free shows, the fair offers families more sizzle than an old backyard barbeque to celebrate the Labor Day weekend," says Bonnie Brosious, the Fair's marketing director and talent buyer.
Advance discount tickets for all-day ride wristbands for the Powers Great American Midway are available.
Fair hours: 4 - 11 p.m. Aug. 26; noon - 11 p.m. Aug. 27 - 31; noon - 10 p.m. Sept. 1
