Sandra R. Grow
Sandra R. Grow, 61, from Lynn Township, died Aug. 9, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of Robert C. Grow.
Born Nov. 1, 1952, in Braddock, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel (Formica) Murajda.
A professor at Kutztown University in technology education for eight years until 2009, she previously was a math teacher at Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli.
She was a founder in 1995, along with stitching friends Lenore Handwerk and Nancy Gilbert, of the former Book Lenders lending library in the old New Tripoli Bank building, along Madison Street, New Tripoli.
A member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Brein-igsville, she valued her time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She enjoyed craft activities, especially quilting, painting and cross stitch. She was considered a collector in various antique venues.
She spent time with her miniature horses and gardening around her pond in her free time.
In addition to her loving husband of 30 years, she is survived by daughters Christen R. Kelly and Aaron Wanstall of Portland, Ore., and their daughter Lua Wanstall, Janna M. Lutz and husband Brom, of Trenton, N.D., and their children, Dean and Nora Lutz; stepdaughter Krissie A. Hause of Berwick and her children Devin and Dara Hause; and brother Allan Murajda of West Mifflin.
Family and friends are invited to call 10-11 a.m. Aug. 14, at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc. 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, followed by the service at 11 a.m.
