Patsy Iampietro, World War II Army Veteran

Patsy M. "Pasquale" Iampietro, 95, of Bethlehem died Aug. 7, 2014. He was a son of the late Daniel "Donato" and Rose Iampietro. He was the husband of the late Mary (Knopf) Iampietro and the late Louise A. (Murphy) Iampietro.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He worked as a retail clerk at Food Fair and Pantry Pride, working at a chicken market and owning and operating his own market. He was also a representative for the retail clerk union and later worked for the Railroad and the Bethlehem Area School District in the maintenance department.

He was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by three sons, Larry M. and his wife Linda of Hereford Twp., Patrick D. and his wife Lucia of Bethlehem and Robert L. of Emmaus; grandchildren, Paul and his wife Jackie, Luke and his wife Brandi, Mary and Amelia; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa; and a sister, Josephine Ford of Bethlehem.
