Helen Herbst, 95, of Orefield, died Aug. 5, 2014, in her home.

Born June 26, 1919, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Korbler) Herbst.

She owned and operated the former Helen's Beauty Shop, Orefield, for 50 years before retiring in 1995.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include sisters, Elizabeth Herbst, with whom she resided, Lillian, wife of James Roberts, of Slatington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings, Rudolph, Joseph, Louis and Francis, Emma Simitz and Theresa Wirth.
