Merry (Mary) Smith-Chamley

Merry (Mary) Smith-Chamley, 88, of Salisbury Township, died July 27, 2014, in the VNA of St. Luke's Hospice House, Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late Lance Smith and the late William Chamley. Born in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Miller) Orbin.

She worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation as a fork lift operator in the iron foundry department for many years until retiring.

She was of Episcopalian faith.

She belonged to the Silver Sneakers club and enjoyed crocheting and knitting samples for wall hanging.

She is survived by three sons, Scott and his wife Audrey Smith and William Chamley II, all of Bethlehem and Kelly Chamley and his fiance Karen Graver, of Danielsville; a daughter, Robin and her husband Gary Evans, of Gilbert, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Scott and his wife Sue Smith, Nicole and her husband Brian Julian, Fawn and her husband Jeff Holdridge, Feather Chamley, Kelly Chamley and Brook and her husband Daniel Scott; seven great-grandchildren and three brothers, Pink Orbin, Bob and his wife Dot Orbin and Jack Orbin.

She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Orbin.
