Dalton R. Engleman

Dalton R. "Doc" Engleman, 88, of Emmaus, died Aug. 7, 2014, in his home. He was the husband of the late Alice E. (Schwartz) Engleman who died Nov. 9, 2006. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Miles and Eva (Krauss) Engleman.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Trexlertown.

He was a Naval veteran serving during World War II.

He retired from Rodale Press in 1996 after 12 years of employment. Previously he was a core maker for the former General Machine in Emmaus for 36 years.

He is survived by children, Norman R. Schantzenbach and his wife Phyllis, and Jennifer D. and her husband Randy Bauer; granddaughter, Tracy Roth; great-grandchildren, Shane, Shantel, Noelle and Kyle; great-great-grandchildren, Amya, Bella, Kaleb and Seth; four step-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren. He was predeceased by grandchildren, Michelle Ahart and Todd Trexler.

Graveside services 11 a.m. Aug. 15, Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
