Joseph A. Beidler
Joseph A. "Big Joe" Beidler, 86, of Fullerton, Whitehall Township, died peacefully July 29, 2014, in Whitehall Manor, where he was a guest in recent years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harvey Beidler and Catherine (Pozzebon) Beidler Wambold.
He and his wife the late Regina V. "Gina" (Gallina) Beidler were married 60 years at the time of her death March 29, 2008.
He was the founder and owner of Fullerton Wilbert Vault Company for more than 60 years.
The family business is now run by his son, grandsons and dedicated employees.
He worked tirelessly beside his wife and family to establish and grow their company.
He was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall, and member of the Golden Agers.
He proudly served with the U.S. Marines during World War II, and was honored to be assigned to the presidential guard at Camp David during the Truman Administration.
He continued his dedication as a member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367.
His survivors include a son Joseph P. and his wife, Janet K. (Maurer) Beidler of Orefield; grandsons Joseph S. and Jason P. and his wife Tara (Walbert) Beidler; great-grandchildren Kylie, Kaden and Emma; sister Katherine L. "Mick" Shisslak of Kresgeville; brother Edward and his wife, Joan, of Wellsboro; and nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by sisters Anna Beidler and Margaret Reinhart, and brother-in-law John Joe Shisslak Sr.
