Smoke reported

Coplay Police were summoned shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of South Fourth Street for a report of the smell of smoke.

Patrol officers located the source of smoke in a fire pit. Officers spoke to the person at the scene and canceled the fire department's departure from the station, police said.

Solicitors reported

Police went to the 1000 block of Bernice Drive, Parkway West, on a report of individuals going around soliciting for carpet cleaning Saturday evening. Police were unable to find anyone after checking the area.

Borough police were called to assist North Catasauqua Police with a DUI suspect in the 100 block of Main Street in Northampton, July 30.

Officers stood by with the vehicle stop, police said.

Noise complaint reported

A noise complaint brought police to the unit block of North Fifth Street shortly before midnight, July 30.

The individuals at the residence agreed to keep the noise down and no further action was taken, police said.

Disturbance reported

Coplay patrol officers assisted Northampton Police at Clear Springs Drive for a report of a disturbance July 28.

The officers assisted in searching for a man who fled the scene. The man was located and taken into custody, police said.
