George F. Martin, 86, formerly of Macungie and Inverness, Fla., died July 28, 2014, in Above and Beyond. He was the husband of the late Lucille E. (Fronheiser) Martin. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Christian H. and Lizzie (Felpel) Martin.

He honorably served his country in the Army during World War II.

He worked in floor covering for many years, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Carpenters Local 600 and was a life member of the Topton American Legion.

He is survived by a son, David L. and his wife Charlotte A. of Schnecksville; three sisters, Bertha Mast, Rosie Clugston and Sarah Nafziger; two granddaughters, Cathy Wisser and Debby Zosky; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
