William F. Williams, 85, from Whitehall, died peacefully on July 25, 2014, at home with his wife by his side.
Born in Northampton, he was a son on the late Raymond H. and Olga (Frey) Williams.
He and his wife, Gail G. (Brown) Williams, were married 32 years.
A 1947 graduate of Allentown High School, he received is Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College in 1972.
He retired from East Penn Mechanical Co. Inc. as a mechanical engineer and later worked for H.T. Lyons Inc.
He proudly served with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Dubb's Memorial United Church of Christ, Allentown.
A member of the Nockamixon Sail Club, he won many awards and trophies racing sail boats.
He loved wind surfing and was an avid and skilled fisherman.
Known as a great dancer in high school, he met his wife at an event, and the two continued their love of dancing for decades.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons William and his companion, Kendy, of Louisiana, Jeffrey and his wife, Barb, of Bethlehem; daughter Pamela Oechsle and her husband, Tom, of Coopersburg; stepson Kenneth Schneider of New Ringgold, stepdaughters Debra Belick of New Tripoli and Terri Stubits of North Whitehall Township; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
