Retail theft
Yazmin Kercado-Centeno, 27, of Allentown, was taken into custody for retail theft after she allegedly changed sales tags and paid less than the original price for merchandise at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:34 p.m. June 21. Kercado-Centeno allegedly resisted arrest when taken into custody. She was arraigned at Lehigh County Central Booking Center and held on bail.
Jennifer Lynn Carr, 36, of Coopersburg, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly removed merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:56 p.m. June 24. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Mimmo Vittoro Cavaiulo, 33, no address given, was charged with resisting arrest, retail theft and receiving stolen proprety after he and a 42-year-old male suspect allegedly placed two televisions and one digital media player into a cart and attempted to leave Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:15 p.m. May 24. A state trooper was at the store at the time responding to an earlier incident when Cavaiulo and the other man allegedly were pushing the shopping cart out of the front door of the store. Both men allegedly fled on foot. Cavaiulo was placed under arrest at the scene while the second man fled in a car. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Samantha Florence Taylor, 38, of Breinigsville, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly under-rang $36.14 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:20 p.m. July 13. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Sandra Lisa Edwards, 49, of Breinigsville, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole multiple items of merchandise totaling $109.10 without paying full retail value at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:07 p.m. July 23. Edwards allegedly was apprehended by loss prevention personnel at the store. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Drug possession
Vladimir Arturo Mercedes, 23, of Allentown, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/deliver and related drug offenses after a traffic stop for equipment violations along Route 222 South, north of Grange Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:23 p.m. July 3. Mercedes allegedly was the driver of the vehicle when it was stopped and searched. Police discovered 38 small plastic bags containing suspected marijuana in a large gray plastic bag along with four other bags containing suspected marijuana under the driver's seat of the car. Another small plastic bag containing suspected marijuana was found wedged near the front passenger seat where Anthony Mercedes, 19, of Allentown, allegedly was riding at the time of the traffic stop. Anthony Mercedes was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. Charges for both men were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Theft
Reported by a resident of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor entered a residence and took silverware valued at $10,530 between December 2013 and February 2014. The investigation continues.
Found property
A mountain bicycle was found in the weeds along a jogging path in the area of Krick Road and Sheffield Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 9:04 a.m. July 22. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
Access device fraud
Reported by a resident of Upper Milford Township, 10 p.m. July 3, unknown actors used the credit card information of the Upper Milford Township resident to charge $72.28. Anyone with information by contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.
