Albright College
Diplomas were awarded to four Bethlehem residents at Albright College's 155th Commencement ceremony on May 25, 2014. The following local students received diplomas: Andrea Cameline, magna cum laude, bachelor of arts degree in theatre; Daniel Martisofski, bachelor of science degree in computer science: digital media; Pedro Perez, bachelor of science degree in business administration: international business and marketing; and Christopher Vargas, bachelor of arts degree in political science/psychology.
Alvernia University
Alexandria Crouthamel of Bethlehem, a forensic science major at Alvernia University, volunteered 12.75 hours for Alvernia's South Reading Youth Initiative (SRYI) program last semester. The program aims to promote education, mentoring and support for children who live or attend school in the South Reading area.
DeSales University
Rachel Eckert of Minersville, a sophomore sport and exercise major at DeSales University, was recently awarded a Good Citizen Scholarship from The Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) for her commitment to education and community service.
