Mayor Bob Donchez announced in a press release July 24 the conclusion of city Solicitor William P. Leeson's report on "Barnsdale Associates."

Mayor Donchez requested the solicitor review the circumstances surrounding the city entering into a services agreement with Barnsdale Associates, a corporation that Business Administrator Dave Brong is part owner of.

Donchez recently ended the dirt removal service from city properties when he learned Brong and Bethlehem Authority board member John Tallarico co-own Barnsdale.

Leeson conducted a comprehensive review resulting in a thorough 15-page report which concluded evidence did not show Brong had actual knowledge of the Barnsdale contract. Based upon the report, no corrective action will be taken against Brong.

Donchez said, "I am pleased to hear the conclusion of this review. Mr. Brong brings a wealth of operations and budgeting knowledge to city hall. I am glad to continue working with Dave in serving the citizens of the City of Bethlehem." The mayor also said, "I have used this opportunity to remind my department heads that my administration will operate in a transparent manner, always putting the interest of our residents first."
