Joseph R. Zongora, III, 73, of Bethlehem, died peacefully July 2, 2014. He was the husband of Jeanne (Zelko) Zongora, who died June 7, 2014. They were married for 52 years. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Scarola) Zongora.

He graduated from William Allen High School in 1959 and retired from Bell Telephone/Verizon in 2002.

He is survived by sons, Joseph and his wife Dawn, Richard, Chad; daughter, Claudette and her husband Robert Romig; two grandchildren, Joseph V. and Gianna; brother, Ronald; sister, Donna.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
